Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 ASN Early Career Investigator Award: Brooke Bodensteiner, Tomas Kay, Patrick McKenzie, Takahiro Sakamoto, and Erin Westeen!

ASN seeks proposals from Regional Meetings in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior for meeting support, especially to support attendance of ASN members at the meetings.

The Presidential Award is chosen by the President of the American Society of Naturalists from all of the papers published in The American Naturalist during the preceding calendar year. The winner of the award for 2026 is “Accelerated Phenology Fails to Buffer Fitness Loss from Delayed Rain Onset in a Clade of Wildflowers” by Samantha J. Worthy, Sarah R. Ashlock, Arquel Miller, Julin N. Maloof, Sharon Y. Strauss, Jennifer R. Gremer, and Johanna Schmitt. Congratulations!

The ASN Student Research Awards support research by student members that advances the goals of the society: the conceptual unification of ecology, evolution, and behavior.

This year’s winners are Louisa Bartkovich, Denis Calandriello Calio, Daniel A. Gutierrez-Carrillo, Gina Lucas, Swastik Pritam Padhy, Charlotte Probst, Alden Sears, Christina Steinecke, Sydney Szwed, and Max L. Witynski. Congratulations!

At the virtual portion of the Evolution 2026 conference, the ASN is pleased to present two symposia and co-present the IDEA Award Plenary.
