The Presidential Award is chosen by the President of the American Society of Naturalists from all of the papers published in The American Naturalist during the preceding calendar year. The 2022 ASN Presidential Award goes to Jessica Clark, Luke McNally, and Tom Little, for their 2021 article “Pathogen Dynamics Across the Diversity of Aging.” Integrating organismal biology, life history theory, demography, and epidemiology via theoretical and experimental studies of a classic model system, this paper provides unique and timely insights into disease spread and containment.
