Membership in the American Society of Naturalists is open to those who have shown interest in its purpose:

to advance and to diffuse knowledge of organic evolution and other broad biological principles so as to enhance the conceptual unification of the biological sciences.

  Scholarship--Members have individual electronic access to The American Naturalist from the Latest Articles back to Vol. 1 No. 1 published in 1867.
  University of Chicago Press Book Discounts--Members receive a 30% discount on all University of Chicago Press books
  Meeting Discounts--Members can register at the annual meetings at reduced rates

Membership is concurrent with an electronic subscription to The American Naturalist. A subscription to the print journal can be added by adding $40 to any member category.
